Cross-border territories in the development of international tourism (on the example of Primorsky krai)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the transboundary territory of the Primorsky Territory. In modern conditions of globalization, on the one hand, and the process of regionalization, on the other, there is an increasing interest in border regions, their problems and vectors of development. The border today is gradually losing its barrier function, instead a new one appears - integrating, which makes it possible to organize beneficial relationships between two or more countries in various spheres of society. This is how the concept of a cross-border region appears, which is formed in the process of mutual influence and interaction of two or more border territories. In the course of historical development, a unique set of historical and cultural features is formed on the border area, unique for neighboring states. The mutual influence and interpenetration of different cultures, the economic interest of neighboring countries in cooperation serves as the basis for the development of border regions, which can be an excellent basis for the development of tourism.
