Lexico-semantic parameters of the Spanish political discourse

Abstract

The language of politics, in particular the study of the specifics of political communication and its gender differences, is of particular interest to linguists. This article examines the features of the lexical and semantic levels of the political discourse of the Spanish politician Adriana Lastra, who represents the interests of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party. Also, at the level of semantics, the political speech strategies and tactics used by the politician in their texts are considered. This study was conducted on the basis of materials published in the official profile of the PSOE on the social network Instagram: 88 political texts in Spanish by Adriana Lastra for 2020-2021.
