The republic of tatarstan as one of the leading regions in the field of tourism of the Russian Federation

Abstract

The article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the tourism sector in the Republic of Tatarstan. Tourism in the 21st century is one of the most important sectors in the economy, therefore it is necessary to analyze the reasons for the formation of tourism in the Republic of Tatarstan and determine the most priority ways of its development in the future. The article reflects the prerequisites and stages of the development of the tourism sector in the selected region from the beginning of the X century to the present day. The main content of the study is the analysis of statistics in this area: the dynamics of tourist flow to the main tourist centers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the volume of services rendered in the field of tourism, taking into account related industries, the income of collective accommodation facilities from the services provided and the number of persons accommodated in collective accommodation facilities. The paper also considers the measures taken by the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tourism to popularize and develop this sphere. The relevance of this study is determined by the modern development of the Republic of Tatarstan as one of the leading regions in terms of gross revenues from domestic tourism of the Russian Federation. Various research methods were used to write the work: literature analysis, historical method, concretization, synthesis and empirical generalization.
