Mikhail Gorbachev as a key figure in the collapse of the USSR
Abstract
The article puts forward the problems of studying the role of M.S. Gorbachev in the process of the collapse of the USSR. Gorbachev's personal participation in this process is investigated, his ideas are considered, as well as his activities as head of state.
