A.M. Gorchakov's position on the sale of Alaska
Abstract
The article examines the personal attitude of A.M. Gorchakov to the fact of the sale of Alaska to the United States of America. The author analyzes many sources of personal origin authored by Gorchakov himself, as well as his colleagues. In addition, the discussion positions on this issue in Russian historiography are considered.
