Friedrich Meinecke (1862-1954): position on the National Socialists in Germany in domestic and foreign historiography

Abstract

The article analyzes the position towards National Socialism in the context of domestic and foreign historiography through the prism of the personality of the German historian Friedrich Meinecke. The approaches of various historians to the study of a single personality immersed in a specific historical epoch are revealed.
